I was the stereotypical East Asian eye that gets exaggerated in the media... I had thick eyelids and monolids.. I had no double eyelids and very small eyes, so I had everything widened and got double eyelid surgery too... They said my brow bone was thicker than other people’s, so I was a little worried, thinking maybe that would make it harder.. But the director said it wasn’t difficult and tried to lighten the mood by promoting himself a bit, which I liked. Since the surgery widened everything around my eyes, my eyes got really big.. There are still some signs that I had surgery, but my eyes got so much bigger that I’m satisfied.
