I had philtrum reduction and lateral corner-of-mouth surgery with Gong-ssaem. I know they also do scarless philtrum reduction, but they recommended an incision under the nose. I was really worried about lip scars, but the consultation manager said the incision would be inside the lip so the scar wouldn’t be very visible, and I trusted that and decided. Now that I’ve had the surgery, the scar is very visible... That’s my fault for only trusting the consultation manager’s words... I did the lateral procedure, but my lip shape became slightly S-shaped, and the corners of my mouth lifted, but because of the lateral procedure, the original corner-of-mouth area got pulled into the upper lip, so the corners themselves basically disappeared. So my mouth looks even smaller. I realized after surgery that the horizontal width of both corners of the mouth visually affects the size of the mouth. My philtrum wasn’t reduced too much, so it seems natural, but there is a scar... Maybe because the director was busy, aftercare and consultation both ended really quickly. I know they’re good at philtrum/nose work, but if you’re only getting philtrum reduction, I don’t recommend it. The lip is even more visible with scars, so I definitely do not recommend it.
