I thought that since the doctor was said to point out only the necessary parts, the things I was worried about would be resolved through the consultation. But in reality, the questions I had were answered very briefly, and instead the doctor recommended, in a tone that felt insulting, areas I had never even thought of as complexes in my life. I went in wanting to consult about salivary gland Botox, but after feeling my salivary glands, the doctor gave no explanation at all about their condition and just said to try it first, speaking as if it couldn’t be helped because I had come with some hope of improving my face shape. I also became curious about masseter Botox and asked about it, but the doctor only gave a short answer like, “Just try it first; you won’t know whether it works until you get it.” Maybe that’s because, from a professional standpoint, it wasn’t an unnecessary procedure, but from a non-expert standpoint, the overly simple one-line answers did not feel trustworthy. Because I am the type of person who decides carefully even when choosing one procedure, I asked further whether it would be better to try both salivary gland Botox and masseter Botox, or just the one that seemed more necessary. But the doctor looked at me with an unhappy expression and sent me back to the coordinator’s office, saying I should go consult with the coordinator again. Also, I went to that clinic because I was bothered by my round face shape and wanted to improve it, but out of nowhere the doctor recommended lower eyelid fat repositioning, which had nothing to do with my concern. The expression and tone while recommending it were unpleasant too. Even right before the procedure, the doctor said, “I’m saying this because you’re young, but there’s no easy way to become pretty. Don’t waste money on contour injections or Inmode or other useless things; if you’re going to do something, surgery is better.” The way he spoke made it sound as if only his view was absolutely right. Even if the effect were good, I have no intention of going back.
