And now that I think about it, the only impression that remains is that the head doctor consulted in a somewhat rushed, pressed-for-time way, so I felt rushed too and couldn’t comfortably get my questions answered even though I wanted to ask more. The person responsible for me is not the director, it’s the doctor, and the doctor-patient chemistry should matter more, but I felt like I’d be kind of on my own before and after surgery, even if I don’t know how skilled this doctor is. Anyone who has had surgery would know. In the operating room, all sorts of worries suddenly come rushing in and you get tense, but if even the nurse is kind, you feel at ease and can prepare yourself mentally. At consultation, I tend to make my final decision based on how well the doctor and I communicate. The doctor seemed experienced, and I have no doubt about the skill, but for some reason a vague sense of unease remained... It seems like it’ll be hard to make a final decision. And because it’s so large, it felt like communication wasn’t very smooth between the 2nd-floor reception and the breast department reception. And the people at reception felt like they hadn’t been properly trained... They give first-time patients too little explanation. You’re not just sitting there to tell people which floor to go to, 2nd-floor staff~~ And this is the first plastic surgery clinic I’ve seen that has a separate breast surgery department. For revision surgery, they require a breast ultrasound, because they say they want to check the capsule condition. The ultrasound is 200,000 won. If you get the ultrasound done in advance at another breast surgery clinic and bring it here, it can be handled by insurance, so it would be cheaper.
